According to the report, Google has told its business partners in the country that it will not be able to work with them on new Android phones. This comes after the Turkish competition board deeming the company’s changes to its contracts were not acceptable. According to a recent blog post from the company, Chrome 87 will now prioritise your active tabs, which it claims to reduce CPU usage by up to five times. In addition to this, the browser will also require less power and memory than before, start up 25% faster, and load web pages up to seven percent quicker. The performance boost will also be rolled out to the Android version of Google Chrome soon....

According to the UK-based AI company that was bought out by Google in 2014, it trained its AI by using a total of 91000 “de-identified” data of women residing both in the US and UK. Upon completion, the AI’s algorithm then tested 25000 scans in the UK and an additional 3000 scans from the US. Four images of each test were then put into its neural network with scores between zero to one....

Specifically, the vulnerability exploits a security flaw known as CVE-2019-5786. A memory management issue found in Chrome’s FileReader that allows hackers to inject and execute malicious code. To clarify, FileReader essentially allows web applications to read the contents of a user’s local file system. Google in its latest blog announcement today revealed that the company has brought in improvements to the visual clarity in its Maps app. With the new update, Maps will now have better visual details added into its display for users to have a clearer view of the surrounding areas. The company used a new color-mapping algorithm technique to provide a much in-depth visual improvement to the map display. Additionally, this update will now help users to have a better understanding of how a specific area would actually look like in person....

During their presentation, it’s quite obvious that the developers were pushing for more Android developers to adopt dark and night modes for their phones. As the reduced brightness of the mode would help smartphones and tablets immensely in their conservation of battery power. Google points out that, statistically, the energy draw from colours such as blue requires 25% more power than green or red in the standard RGB spectrum. In a way, that statistic kind of explains why scientists have warned against prolonged exposure to blue light....

The designer says that the redesign will feature a cleaner interface with larger and bolder text, and will also use colours to highlight important information.
