Like all hacked accounts, the video games developer and publisher only discovered the hack after the lewdly-worded posts were made, with references being made to the male appendage. On top of that, one post was clearly racist, with the intention of naming and shaming random individuals.

As to whom the hacker collective is, the entity responsible seems to go by the name or tag “NuBLoM”. On a related note, the hacker had also given a shout out the “Chuckling Squad”, another hacker who had previously claimed responsibility for hacking into the Jack Dorsey’s – the founder of Twitter – own account. As pointed out by Hot Hardware, it’s one thing when one social media platform is compromised. It is, however, an entirely different ballgame when hackers gain access to multiple social media mediums simultaneously.

At the time of writing, it seems that 2K Games has regained control of both platforms. Whatever the cause, it’s clear that 2K Games really needs to re-evaluate the security measures and passwords for all its social media accounts. (Source: Hot Hardware)
