However, it looks like the sensor is not that strong as we thought to be though. According to an Imgur user named darkshark, he managed to overcome the sensor by using a 3D printed fingerprint mould.

While it certainly takes some effort from darkshark to come out with the fingerprint mould as well as the fact that it doesn’t work straight away at first, the main point is that he got the upper hand over the ultrasonic sensor which is said to be more secure than an optical-based sensor. Furthermore, darkshark claimed that he is able to craft the mould in less than 15 minutes. This once again showed that nothing is absolutely secure in this world. That being said, we are certainly eager to see the response from Samsung and Qualcomm regarding the successful attempt to fool the ultrasonic sensor. (Source: darkshark via The Verge.)
