Interestingly enough, the exact details of the 6800XT’s performance actually stem from a multitude of sources. The list of sources includes Igor’s Lab, a tweet by Yuko Yoshida (@KittYYuko), and WCCFTech. Additionally, much of the data is supposedly derived from 6800XT cards made by two of AMD’s board partners, although it is not openly known which ones they are. Across the board, the alleged 6800XT seems to outpace NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080, including the Fire Strike Extreme 1440p with 24200 points, Fire Strike Extreme 4K test with 13066 points, Fire Strike Ultra at 12871 points, and Time Spy Extreme 4K with an average of 8230 points. In fact, the only tests where the card seems to lose out is with Time Spy and Port Royal 4K. On another note, Yoshida says that the card he obtained his 3DMark scores featured 80 Compute Units (CUs), and not 72CUs as previously reported. Of course, as all rumours typically go, the standard disclaimer for salt consumption applies. At least, until 28 October. (Source: KitGuru, Yuko Yoshida, Igor’s Lab)
