Just like its higher-end sibling, the GBD-100 can be used to track your runs and steps. You can then upload, save, monitor, and share workout data via Bluetooth to the G-Shock Move app which also allows you to create a training plan. However, there are reasons why the GBD-100 costs significantly less than the GBD-H1000. For example, the GBD-100 is not equipped with its own GPS and has to rely on the distance measurement data from smartphone GPS. GBD-100 also does not come with a heart rate monitor and solar charging capability although its CR2032 battery provides the watch with up to 2 years of battery life. So, in general, the GBD-100 is closer to a traditional G-Shock watch rather than a full-blown fitness wearable. You can check out the full list of differences between GBD-100 and GBD-H1000 over at its official website. Pricewise, the GBD-100 is now available at G-Factory and G-Shock stores as well as authorized dealers throughout Malaysia for RM 699.
