On that note, the organisers have already opened up and begun taking registrations from International exhibitors, since 6 October. In addition to registration, TAITRA is also prepping to kick off a global warm-up tour called #COMPUTEXisEverywhere, which is set to commence on 18 November. The tour will make its rounds to several countries, including the US, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Brazil, Israel, and Germany. Needless to say, the tour is clearly a move for the Taiwanese organisers to drum up support and for consumers to physically make a trip to the actual event next year.

Like so many major events and companies, the annual Computex exhibition was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak that started in China at the end of 2019 and later saw widespread infections around the world, from 2020 until now. Mercifully, with the emergence of COVID-19 vaccines and mass vaccination drives in several major countries, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and life is slowly but surely returning to pre-pandemic levels. More importantly, that also means that international borders are beginning to reopen; in Malaysia, the presiding government announced that both interstate and international travel will be allowed, subject to the adult population achieving a fully vaccinated rate of 90%.
