News of the developers’ unanimous decision first came to light during a Game Informer (GI) show, when the show’s host spoke about the alleged decision by CDPR’s bosses to institute the dread crunch period. Apparently, a meeting was held between the CEOs and the developers, where the choices were put to a vote: delay the game once again, or bite the bullet and slog through the final furlong. Needless to say, the latter was seemingly chosen. To date, Cyberpunk 2077’s launch date has been pushed back twice; since its grand reveal at last year’s E3, CDPR first pushed the game’s original release date from 16 April to 17 September. Then, as the game’s second launch date loomed closer, the studio made an unpopular decision to further delay it to the current launch date, 18 November. CDPR also says that the efforts of all its developers won’t go unrewarded. On top of paying for their overtime – as required by Polish law – the studio had also said that 10% of this year’s sales profit will be split evenly between each and every member behind the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. For PC gamers, they’ll be able to enjoy graphic enhancing features such as dynamic and real-time ray-tracing via NVIDIA’s RTX technology. (Source: GamesRadar)
