In the month of June, The first batch of Huawei devices to get the EMUI 9.1 update are the Nova 3e, Y9 (2018), and the Mate 20 series. Regarding the latter, the list also includes the Mate 20X and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design. Then, in the month of July, Huawei will begin rolling out its new interface to the P20 series, Nova 3 and 3i, the current Nova 4 series, the Mate 10 and Mate 9 series. Along with the Y9 (2019), Y6 Pro, and Y5 (2019). During the last month, August, The rollout will then trickle down to Huawei’s older generation flagship devices, including the Mate RS Porsche Design and P10 series.

EMUI 9.1 is Huawei’s latest version based on the Android OS. The latest EMUI version brings new features and improvements with it across the board. Including faster launch times, a new EROFS (Extendable Read-Only File System) that frees up more storage space and provides a 20% increase read speed for the phone. As well as a more streamlined Simplified UI. New features on the phone include the introduction of GPU Turbo 3.0, an improved version of Phone Clone. The new Huawei Vlog that gives users the ability to edit videos, and lastly, Share OneHop; a feature that enable file transfer from Huawei’s flagship phones to a Huawei Matebook.
