At a glance, the 3:2 aspect ratio monitor seemed to be aimed at content creators or professionals. You’re not going to find a high refresh rate panel in it but Huawei said that the Mateview’s IPS panel delivers 10-bit colour depth, 98% of DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage as well as Delta E value of under 2 for colour accuracy.  With a maximum brightness level of 500 nits, MateView is also a DisplayHDR 400-certified monitor. It is also equipped with an NFC feature that allows selected Huawei devices to easily activate their Desktop Mode on MateView while laptops that support Miracast can also wirelessly output to the monitor.  Alongside a touch-based controller called Smart Bar, the MateView is also equipped with a pair of 5W speakers that works together with a dedicated amplifier built directly into the monitor. Just like the MateView GT, the MateView also comes with a dual-microphone system that can pick up voices from a distance as far as 4 meters.

Pricewise, the MateView is listed at RM 2,988 although pre-order customers can purchase it for slightly less at RM 2,888. Valid until 21 July through Huawei Malaysia’s online store, they will also receive a Huawei Wi-Fi AX3 Dual-Core router as a freebie.  (Source: Huawei Malaysia.)
