The new wireless speaker was the result of the collaboration between Huawei and the French audio company Devialet which provides two of its technologies, the Speaker Active Matching and Push-Push woofer architecture for the Sound X.

Designed to deliver 360-degrees audio experience , the Sound X is equipped with six 1.5-inch full range drivers that have a total output of 30W. Additionally, the speaker also contained two 3.5-inch sub-woofer that delivers 60W output and bass range of as low as 40Hz. Equipped with a MediaTek MT8518 quad-core chip, 512MB RAM, and 8GB internal storage, the certified Hi-Res Audio wireless speaker also comes with NFC. This allows users to easily play music from their Android phone just by tapping on the top part of the Sound X. Pricewise, the new Huawei Sound X can be obtained for RM 1,299 once it arrives in Malaysia on 16 May. As per our report earlier, the speaker is also part of the freebie set for the new MateBook X Pro 2020 although the set is available in limited quantities.
