To refresh your memory, walk-in PPV vaccinations in Klang Valley ceased on 15 September, with appointments now being directed towards public health clinics instead. Most PPVs in Klang Valley have shut down due to the government reaching vaccination goals, including the WTC PPV which had administered almost 1.3 million doses throughout its 150-day operation. Run by ProtectHealth Corp which is a non-profit company that belonged to MoH, the programme involves the participation of 98 private clinics throughout Kuala Lumpur and Selangor starting from today onwards. MoH says that the programme is by appointment only in order to avoid any wastage of vaccines and priority will be given to those who have registered for vaccination but somehow have yet to receive an appointment, as well as those who missed their appointment for their first or second dose. You can find the full list of the clinics in this post on MoH’s Facebook page but curiously, many in the comments of the post say they contacted the facilities on the list and were told that the clinics were not aware of this programme. Some even said that they still have to pay for the vaccine despite what MoH has stated in the announcement, so do make sure to give a call to the clinic of your choice first and get all the information you need before getting your vaccine there.
