Twitter user AestheticGamer claims that, two years ago, the publisher has reached out to developers that may be interested in bringing the series back. One of the two games will serve as a soft reboot of the series. The other will come in an episodic format, like you’d expect from a Telltale title.
— AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem (@AestheticGamer1) January 21, 2020 The Twitter user also predicts that at least one, if not both, of the titles will be announced this year. That said, they also claim to not “know much about the inner workings of Konami”. Horror game enthusiast site Rely on Horror corroborates this claim, citing its own source. Konami itself has since responded to these reports. A company spokesperson told Eurogamer that it “cannot share anything at this point, but we are listening to customer feedback and considering ways to provide the next title“. It’s vague at best, and it doesn’t actually confirm that there will be two more Silent Hill games on the horizon. But since the company doesn’t outright deny it either, there may be hope yet for fans of the series. Which begs the question, why bother cancelling Silent Hills, the full version of the infamous PT, to begin with? (Source: AestheticGamer / Twitter, Rely on Horror via Eurogamer)
