The package also echoes the government’s recently announced stimulus package for SMEs. In light of this, Lazada pledges to support eCommerce entrepreneurs and small-medium businesses, as well as encouraging sales of local products.

According to Lazada, this stimulus package will also provide SMEs with a series of customised benefits including free shipping services, and fixed weekly payments. Additionally, the company will work with these businesses to curate and list products for up to four months, participate in promotional campaigns, fulfil orders and analyse sales and traffic data. This will be achieved via a dedicated support team, and through the Lazada University learning portal. SMEs in the fresh food and groceries categories will be entitled zero commission and zero listing fees, as well as access to micro loan facilities. The company adds that this entitlement will be provided to the platform’s new and existing sellers as well. Lazada is ensuring that retailers that are new or have little experience in eCommerce can expect 100% of their costs of selling online covered through this initiative.

The Pakej Kedai Pintar package is available to SMEs from April to June. Those interested can sign up on Lazada’s website via the link below. Registrations within this period will also have 100-percent of capital costs waived. (Source: Lazada Malaysia)
