With the video, we get a clearer look at what LG wants to achieve with the Velvet, and future devices. Most obvious is what the company called 3D Arc Design, described as the front-back symmetrical curves at the edges. It’s a design that’s already quite common, especially when looking at fellow Korean brand Samsung. But it’s definitely an improvement in design compared to LG’s current phone design. Then there’s the Raindrop camera layout of the LG Velvet. The layout as a whole is fine, but the individual cameras are a little bit more interesting. While no numbers were shared, it looks like only the main camera juts out in a bump. The other two cameras look as if they sink into the phone, rather than just flush against the surface. It’s certainly a different look compared to the current trend that has all the cameras in a massive chunky bump. In terms of specs, the only thing that has been revealed about the LG Velvet in the video is that it will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset. The other items on the phone’s spec sheet will probably have to wait until it gets officially announced. On the subject of announcement, LG has not indicated when it intends to do so for the Velvet.
