The Minecraft Earth beta was first made available on to the iOS last month, but only to the devices running iOS 10 or later. For Android users, you’ll need to ensure that your device is capable of running Augmented Reality (AR), and that it’s running Android 7 Nougat or later for the app to run properly. To recap, Minecraft Earth is an AR title. It’s game mechanics are similar to other AR titles, such as Pokemon Go. The major difference being that instead of hunting and battling Pokemons, players seek out treasure chests, blocks and mobs called Tappables. Players can also build permanent structures in their build plate and experience the iconic Minecraft overlay to collect resources and hunt mobs in Adventure mode. Unfortunately, the Minecraft Earth beta is still not available in Malaysia. It seems that Mojang is currently limiting the game’s beta program on a region-by-region basis. That said, if you wish to try your luck, you can sign up here and see if you’ll actually get in. (Source: Minecraft via CNET, The Verge)
