In the live speech, PM Muhyiddin stated that the National Security Council (MKN) expects that the amount of COVID-19 cases will continue to increase if the further action is taken. While the on-going MCO effort has slightly slowed down the spread of the pandemic, the Government feels that we still need to do more to reach zero new cases. Once again, PM Muhyiddin insists that food supplies are sufficient, and nobody should embark on panic buying. All ministries have been instructed to prepare for the prolonged MCO period and make sure all critical services are in order including electric, water, sanitary, irrigation, communications, logistic, and public safety.
