Equipped with a 6.41-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display which is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 6, the OP6T features the smaller teardrop-shaped notch as well as narrower lower chin as compared to its predecessor. It is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner which is said to offer the fastest unlock speed in the world at 0.34 seconds. In terms of firepower, the OP6T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and can be obtained in three variants. Specifically, consumers have the option to choose the 6GB RAM base model that comes with 128GB internal storage or go for the variants with more RAM at 8GB which are available with 128GB and 256GB storage.
Photography-wise, the OP6T features a dual rear camera setup which is consisted of Sony IMX376K 20MP and Sony IMX519 16MP sensors alongside f/1.7 lenses for both cameras. They are also accompanied by a new mode called Nightscape that allows users to capture images in low light conditions in just 2 seconds. For selfies, there is also another Sony IMX371 16MP f/2.0 camera on the front part of the phone. Pre-installed with the brand’s own OxygenOS that is based on Android 9 Pie, the OP6T is also equipped with a 3700mAh battery that supports 5V 4A fast charge technology. In terms of prices, the OP6T will be released in the United States this coming November at USD 549 (about RM 2294) for 6GB/128GB variant. For 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations, they are priced at USD 579 (~RM 2420) and USD 629 (~RM 2628) respectively. In Malaysia, the phone will be available this coming November as well with the pre-order is scheduled to take place starting from tomorrow, 30 October onwards. So, stay tuned.
