The unannounced GeForce RTX 2060 was found on the Final Fantasy XV benchmark page. Specifically, it was listed within the page’s 3860 x 2140 High Quality sub-section. Performance-wise, the card doesn’t to far much better than the previous generation GeForce GTX 1070, which is a bit disappointing. Especially since many of us were certainly expecting it to be marginally, if not significantly better than the GTX 1070. As mentioned in an earlier article, it’s likely that the card in question may have been running on an unoptimised set of drivers....

Uploaded by Twitter user Alcoholikaust aka The Drunk Cat, is an image that shows a pair of supposed PS5 devkit consoles taken from an unknown location – which we can assume is from a game development studio. Tom Warren, senior editor of The Verge, confirms that these are indeed the actual devkits that are handed out by Sony to developers. Warren also noted that the reason for the “V” shape design is so that the console can vent properly while being easily stacked for undergoing multiple stress tests....

Social media users are predictably having a field day over this. But this is far from the first time that a brand has received brickbats and mockery over its logo. As The Washington Post noted, Airbnb took quite the beating when it revealed its new logo – people said it looked like a butt or, uh, a certain genitalia. But Airbnb has stuck with it, perhaps gambling that the notoriety is worth all the extra attention....

That said, AMD did not provide a specific availability date for its Zen 3-based CPUs, although online rumours and speculations are suggesting that said products may be arriving sometime during the fourth quarter of this year, but just before year’s end. Details are scarce, but the Zen 3 CPU architecture is said to be a similar albeit enhanced version of AMD’s existing 7nm die lithography. Like its predecessors, the Ryzen 4000 series desktop CPUs will undoubtedly ship out without an integrated graphics unit....

For those unfamiliar with the technology, AMD first introduced the V-Cache chiplet design back in June last year, and more specifically, the 3D V-Cache, during its Computex livestream last year. Speaking plainly, the chipmaker basically stacked three layers of a CPU’s L3 Cache on top of each other, effectively giving the lucky processor a whopping 96MB of memory to do as it wishes. That CPU, by the way, being the Ryzen 7 5800X3D that we reviewed earlier this year....

Thanks to an eagle-eyed Twitter user by the name of Casmoden (@Casmoden), it appears that AMD has given its Radeon logo a redesign of sorts. Casmoden noticed the changes at the end of the PC gameplay trailer of Gearbox’s upcoming title, Godfall. It’s a subtle change, but if you pay close enough attention to the new logo, you’ll notice that some of the alphabets now more resemble the fonts of AMD’s logo for its Ryzen CPU....

The source of the card’s synthetic benchmark performance stems from Wccftech and more precisely, the card’s benchmark seemingly come from UL’s 3DMark Time Spy test. In this case, the scores that were recorded were simply its graphics score. Overall, the chart from the site shows the 6950XT actually outperforming NVIDIA’s own current king-of-the-hill card, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, by an average of 2000 points. In other words, an approximately 6% to 7% increase in performance....

The rumour comes by way of Yuri Bubliy, (@1usmus), the person behind the ClockTuner for Ryzen and DRAM Calculator for Ryzen utilities for – you guessed it – AMD’s Ryzen CPUs. In a research note obtained by MacRumors, Kuo predicts the second iPhone SE will come with the latest A13 chipset, 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB and 128GB for storage options, and a launch price of US$399. Kuo predicts that it will not come with 3D Touch, though. The previous report predicts that the iPhone SE 2 will be similar to the iPhone 8, in both design and size. It appears that Kuo is echoing these predictions....

The pictures show that the phone was burnt and slightly melted on both the front and back. The victim says that the phone was not charging at the time and the battery was at 90% capacity. OnePlus apparently reached out to him and asked for the device to be submitted but the lawyer refused and instead opted to file a lawsuit against OnePlus India after submitting the phone to the police....

Apple stated that the battery on these units may overheat which of course, made it a safety risk. The company also pointed out that such units can be determined through their serial number which users in Malaysia can cross-check using this dedicated webpage. If it was determined that your MacBook Pro is affected by the recall, do back up your data and then head on to the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider which you can find through this website....

First up is the controller. This will come with the next iteration of the Apple TV. But rather than your usual TV remote control, this looks to be something that’s more for the gaming side of things. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that alongside the iPhone 14 and the Apple Watch Pro, the company intends to also announce the AirPods Pro. This will succeed the initial model that was released back in 2019, which feels like a lifetime ago. As for what we can expect from these AirPods Pro 2, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that it will support the company’s own lossless audio format, ALAC. Which is a major improvement over the usual lossy audio codecs, and a surprise that it has taken the company this long to implement it....

According to Bloomberg, engineers in the company are preparing to make Apple’s platform more open by finally allowing users to bypass the App Store when installing third-party software on their iPhones and iPads. This would allow them to avoid the company’s strict restrictions as well as the infamous 30% commission taken from developers on purchases. The move is apparently a response to a new EU law titled the Digital Markets Act....

A jury of US federal court in San Diego found Apple guilty of infringing on three of Qualcomm’s patents. As a result, the former owes the latter US$31 million (~RM126.85 million). This values the three patents at US$1.41 (~RM5.77) per iPhone. It is not known at the moment whether Apple will appeal the decision or otherwise. Nevertheless, the latest decision is yet another interesting addition to the multiple legal battles between the two big names in tech which have carried on for the past few years although they just getting warmed up though....

The official announcement has also revealed that around 2,200 of Intel employees will be moving to Apple as part of the acquisition. Not only that, Apple will also receive more than 17,000 patents from Intel which covers various segments of wireless technology, from protocols to model architecture. Despite the acquisition, this doesn’t mean that Intel is completely moving away from modem developments though. The announcement stated that Intel has retained the option to develop modem for the non-smartphone segments such as PCs, IoT devices, and autonomous vehicles....

This discovery came via the decompiling of the Apple Music APK by 9to5Google. Specifically, within the beta of version 3.4, which also included the codename Aristotle. Within it, strings of code basically confirms that the service will be included in a larger bundle of subscription services called Apple One. There’s also another line that says the music service subscriptions will be included in any Apple One subscriptions. This is so that subscribers will not pay twice for essentially the same service....

From the images, the device sports a similar design to last year’s Powerbeats Pro which features a curved design with angled buds and over-ear hooks. The only visual difference that sets it apart from the Pro is an adjustable cable that connects both earpieces together. Like its predecessor, a talk button is situated on the cable connected to the left earpiece. WinFuture claims that the Apple Powerbeats4 will be equipped with the company’s H1 chip with the aforementioned voice-activated Siri support, as well as faster connection time for calls and up to 30 percent lower gaming latency, among other things....

This is sort of a known fact given that this very behaviour happened to the previously released MacBook Pro and iMac Pros which contained the same chip. However, it was only recently that the existence of this particular security check was officially confirmed by Apple. According to the confirmation that the company made to The Verge, this security check is applied to repairs made on some components including logic board and Touch ID sensor....
