The OPPO Reno5 Pro Plus Artist Limited Edition is designed in a partnership with artist Joshua Vides, who is known for his sketch-like designs for interior decorations and other products. This is reflected on the phone’s rear case, which features the aforementioned look as well as the electrochromic glass panel that switches colour from blue to grey and vice versa. The patent was originally filed by Apple to the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) in January, according to Patently Apple. The company described the self-healing display concept as being able to repair itself without user intervention. Which theoretically means that the process would trigger automatically when the foldable phone is idle, or is set to a predetermined schedule. The application stated that the device’s screen cover may feature a layer of elastomer, a material that can lose and regain its shape to keep interior components protected....

Bloomberg reports that PayPal is taking the plunge with a stablecoin. This is confirmed by the company’s senior vice president of crypto and digital currencies, Jose Fernandez da Ponte. He also indicated that it will be a stablecoin that is “purpose-built for payments”. Evidence of the company cooking up its own cryptocurrency was first discovered by developer Steve Moser, who found a code hidden within its app. The code showed what was dubbed PayPal Coin, which would be backed by the US dollar....

The logo also came with a description that reads “A new benefit available for a limited time on PlayStation Plus”. Initial plans for it may involve a year-long trial from 22 April for subscribers in Poland. This may be related to the video service that Sony Interactive Entertainment will be ending support come August this year. While there’s not much to work with, one could make a few assumptions as to what this PS Plus Video Pass is all about....

According to Game Developer, these free trials are supposed to be an extra benefit to subscribers of the PlayStation Plus Premium tier. If a game has a wholesale price of at or above US$34, EUR33 or JPY4000, the game must have a time-limited trial. These must also be at least two hours long. These requirements are not retroactive, so devs that have already released games at or above those prices don’t have to go back and work on a trial for their already published games....

Fresh court documents show that The Pokemon Company has reached a US$300000 settlement with the two leakers. The document shows the company referring to them as having “stole secrets” by taking “illicit pictures from an unreleased strategy guide”. One of the leakers got access to the unreleased strategy guide by virtue of being employed by the company that prints it. The other got the images via group chat, and posted them onto Discord, which then started to spread to the public....

The tourney is officially known as the Porsche Gran Turismo Cup Asia Pacific, and will be played within Gran Turismo Sport of the PS4. According to Andy Yen, CEO of ProtonMail, Apple had supposedly forced the service provider to add in-app purchases (IAP) inside it, despite the fact that the app itself being free to iOS users for a little more than two years. Apple’s alleged extortionist attitude also didn’t stop there either. When Yen tried to inform the users of his apps about the sudden changes, Apple blocked the app from posting updates and even threatened to have it removed from its store....

Vox Media product manager Parker Ortolani shared on Twitter two US Patent and Trademark Office filings for RealityOS registered by a company called Realityo Systems LLC. As 9to5Mac points out, this company is registered at the same address as another similarly named Yosemite Research LLC. The latter is the company that registered the trademark Monterey days before WWDC 2021, when the macOS with the same name was announced. As for the address itself, it points to a real company called Corporation Trust Centre which provides trademark services to Apple....
