The projected launch timeline was made during a recent webcast, where an AMD representative hint that the GPU might just be able to be launched “Big Navi” just before this year’s holiday timeline. He also described Big Navi as a “halo product”, further suggesting that the graphics card is based on the RDNA2 architecture could rival NVIDIA’s own currently existing GeForce RTX series cards. As a quick recap, AMD first announced the existence of its current RDNA architecture back at Computex 2019....

As to where the information came from, the details were spotted on an official AMD Radeon Driver index page, courtesy of eagle-eyed scourer, Coelacanth’s Dream. While the products themselves do not officially exist at the moment, this leak is the first sighting of the mobile GPUs and can be lumped in together with the desktop Radeon RX 6500XT and RX6400 GPUs that have also appeared in earlier reports. While the listing does not contain any specific details, it is speculated that these mobile GPUs could end up being based on AMD’s Navi 24, which is essentially the company’s low-power RDNA 2 GPU variant....

According to the Geekbench page, the 7900 XTX was paired with a Ryzen 7 7700X, which is AMD’s 8-core Zen 4 processor, along with an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme motherboard. Months after their initial debut back in late October last year, Apple has revealed that the standard and mini variants of its iPhone 12 smartphone series will receive a new addition to its current colour selection. Slated to arrive soon, fans can now own these models in the newly announced Purple colour. Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Usually we’d expect phone brands to provide some sort of explanation as to why a new option has suddenly emerged, often with some fancy copywriting to go along with it....

The catch? Developers or brands can only send these notifications to users who have provided their consent. So you’re safe from receiving a barrage of promotional or marketing pop-ups if you opted out. Speaking of which, developers must also provide users the ability to opt out from receiving these push notifications in their app. Furthermore, Apple adds that it will revoke privileges if developers abuse these services. Additionally, the company is also expecting developers to use their official API to gather user reviews and ratings....

“According to Apple, our app Quran Majeed has been removed from the China App Store because it includes content that requires additional documentation from Chinese authorities,” said the app’s developer, Pakistan Data Management Services. “We are trying to get in touch with the Cyberspace Administration of China and relevant Chinese authorities to get this issue resolved”. According to Business Insider, the supposed new addition to the project’s team is Dr. Manfred Harrer (pictured above), Porsche’s Vice President of Chassis Development. With this, Apple is also allowing app developers to distribute macOS, iOS and tvOS as a single universal purchase, in addition to the way things currently are. As it turns out, ARM’s most recent chip development process takes place within the UK. A spokesperson for the company also confirmed that it can continue to supply Huawei’s HiSilicon chips with “the Armv8-A architecture, as well as the next generation of that architecture”. These have been determined to be of non-US origin. In addition to that, it may be the case that both companies have never actually cut ties with each other....

News of ARM’s decision to sever any and all current relationships was made known via a memo that circulated within the chipmaker’s office. Instructing them to halt “all active contracts, support entitlements, and any pending engagements” with Huawei and sister companies such as HONOR. The latter having just launched its new HONOR 20 and HONOR 20 Pro smartphones. ARM’s withdrawal from its partnership with Huawei could have devastating consequences for the Chinese brand....

As you may have heard, Astro’s customers were not able to access certain channels for the past two days due to the Signal Unavailable issue which is also known by many as the SCNA error. On a normal day, this particular error is usually caused by rainy weather but not this time around though. Astro then released a statement on 21 June which said that the massive disruption was caused by an outage faced by its satellite provider....

ASUS took to Twitter to announce the launching of what the company calls “the most grabbable Zenfone 9 ever”. Fitting, perhaps, considering its size, but the phrase definitely needs some work regardless. According to the Registrar of Credit Reporting Agencies, there are currently eight licenced credit reporting agencies (CRAs) in Malaysia. Experian who operates MyCreditInfo claimed that it is the first CRA to have its CCRIS access reinstated by BNM.
