SIE boss Jim Ryan said so during an interview with Naver’s news service in Korea. The statement came after an answer to a question related to the supply of PS5 consoles, especially for pre-orders in the country. The number is a less than half the number of PS5 consoles to be made within the first fiscal year. Previous reports pegged it to be at 15 million units. Subsequent reports indicated that this number will be reduced to 11 million, but SIE has since denied the reports of lowered production....

Sony will be producing a live action film adaptation of the popular manga and anime series One Punch Man, according to a report by Variety. It is said that Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who’ve also worked on Venom (2018) and the Jumanji sequels, are set to write on the upcoming film. One Punch Man originated as a webcomic created by japanese artist ONE in 2009. Due to its popularity, the title was then picked up by Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump magazine with reworked illustrations by Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21) and its story written by ONE....

As per its official statement, the new release date for FFVII Remake has been shifted from 3 March to 10 April 2020. Yoshinari Kitase, the producer of the game, explains that the decision was a necessary evil. In order to give both him and his team a few extra weeks to “apply final polish to the game” that will deliver the “best possible experience”. In addition to FFVII Remake, Square Enix’s subsidiary studio, Crystal Dynamics, also announced that it was pushing back the launch date of the Marvel Avengers game as well, from 15 May to 4 September this year....

Collider reports that Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street, Wolf of Wall Street) has passed on The Batman after being in talks with Warner Bros for the past several months. The reason why Hill has left the project, though, is still rather unclear. Some reports claim that Hill had asked the studio for a salary of $US 10 million, which is more than twice of what Robert Pattinson is reportedly getting paid to play Batman....
