The commercial availability of 5G in Malaysia has been subjected to multiple changes for the past one year. This is not exactly surprising though as there was a change of government not long after the previous administration kicked off the implementation of the next-generation mobile technology for our country. Originally, 5G was supposed to be available in Malaysia by Q3 2020. However, the current Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Saifuddin Abdullah then made a remark during a Parliament session in November 2020 that the current government expects the rollout will only take place by the end of 2022 or early 2023....

For those who are not familiar with the series, the ConceptD devices are meant for creators and professionals. While they might be adopted from Acer’s existing devices, there are a number of differences that set them apart from their consumer-oriented counterpart including Pantone-certified display with a higher level of colour accuracy and resolution as well as quieter thermals. Leading the line-up is the ConceptD 9 Pro which is essentially a creator-oriented variant of the company’s Predator Triton 900 convertible gaming laptop....

What we really meant by that is that it lacks the aggressive design that you have seen on other Predator and Nitro gaming laptops. Instead, the Triton 500 SE features a much cleaner design which would allow it to fit into a professional setting. Unlike certain markets which receive the Mini LED option, the Malaysian variant is limited to an IPS panel although it still has WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution and 165Hz refresh rate....

This particular variant is rather different from the previous Swift 3 releases though, as it is the first model in the line-up to feature a 16.1-inch display. The IPS panel that Acer has equipped into the display also has a Full HD native resolution and 100% sRGB coverage. While the 1.7kg Swift 3 with a 16.1-inch display comes with a 512GB solid state drive as standard in Malaysia, the memory option is tied to the exact processor that the customer prefers....

The eBay listing of the product has since been removed, but according to Tom’s Hardware, the 5300G sample was supposedly being sold for US$176.99 (~RM728). Specifications were also listed, albeit with limited information; basically, the 5300G is set to ship out as a 4-cores, 8-threads, based of course, on AMD’s current 7nm Zen 3 microarchitecture. Its base clock is expected to be set at 3.5GHz, but its boost clock is still unknown....

Recently, Yuri Bubliy (@1usmus) tweeted what has already been confirmed to be a coded message. Technically speaking, it looks nothing more than a string of numbers and alphabets, all in a single line. Yuri assures his followers that the riddle is, indeed, a hex and if you plug it into a hex decoder, it translates as “Genesis 16 cores”. For the uninitiated, that message is a direct reference to AMD’s Zen 3-based Ryzen Threadripper CPU codenamed “Genesis Peak”, and seems to suggest that it will ship out with 16-cores and 32-threads....

The leak was initially posted online by prominent leakster APISAK (@TUM_APISAK), whose image was simply a CPU-Z screenshot of the alleged 12600K, with one or two details having been blurred out. APISAK also makes it clear that the screenshot itself is questionable, with a message written in Thai that he is unsure if the image is real or fake. If the CPU-Z benchmarks scores seen here is legitimate, then the single-threaded performance of at least 790 points puts the 12600K well ahead of AMD’s own mid-range Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, which holds an average score of 624 points....

The leaked details of the 13600K was apparently spotted just hours after the CPU-Z Validator confirmed an engineering sample of the enthusiast-class Core i9-13900K. To be precise, the details of the mid-range CPU was posted on the benchmark and online repository, GeekBench. — Benchleaks (@BenchLeaks) July 21, 2022 According to the GeekBench page, the 13600K was testing using an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme motherboard, along with 32GB of what we are guessing to be DDR5 RAM....

According to the component page and specifications, the 13900HK will be sporting the same number of cores and threads as the 12900HK, which is 14-cores, 20-threads. Based on that number, it doesn’t appear that Intel is planning on adding, let alone doubling the number of E-Cores for the CPU, just as it did with its desktop equivalent. In other words, we’re probably still looking at six P-Cores for the 13900HK, presumably the latest and more powerful Raptor Cove cores, while the remaining eight cores will be E-Cores....

Based on the validation, it seems that the RTX 3050 Ti is and may only make its debut as a laptop GPU. As for what GPU model it will be using, the validation seems to confirm it as a GA107. Additional details suggest that the GPU could have 4GB GDDR6 graphics memory, a 128-bit memory bust with a maximum bandwidth of 192GB/s, plus a boost clock of 1485MHz and a memory clock of 6Gbps....

The information comes by way of SamMobile, who says that the information was obtained from reliable sources. According to the site, the Tab S7+ should be shipping out with a Snapdragon 865+ SoC with support for sub-6GHz 5G, either 6GB or 8GB RAM, and a choice between 128GB and 256GB of expandable storage. Again, as per an earlier rumour, the Android tablet will also sport a 12.4-inch display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels....

Like its 3rd generation consumer desktop Ryzen sibling, both the 3rd generation Ryzen Threadripper CPUs are based on AMD’s 7nm Zen 2 CPU architecture. Breaking it down further, the 3960X features a 24-cores, 48-threads layout, has base clock of 3.8GHz, and a 140MB cache. The 3970X, which is the top-tier of the two, comes with a 32-cores, 64-threads layout, has a base clock of 3.7GHz, and a slightly larger 144MB cache....

Both the 220GE and 240GE are designed to be used with AMD’s current AM4 platform. The processors are also based on the semiconductor maker’s highly efficient Zen microarchitecture, and also feature Radeon Vega integrated graphics. Specs-wise, all three processors feature a 2-cores, 4-threads die layout and come with three Radeon Vega Graphics Compute units. Other specs of the processors are as listed below: The AMD Athlon 200GE is already available at all authorised AMD resellers, and will retail for RM235....

At its E3 2019 event today, AMD has unveiled the second 3rd Gen Ryzen 9 model in the form of Ryzen 9 3950X. While it might have the same 105W TDP as per Ryzen 9 3900X, the new chip offers even more processing power through its 16-core/32-thread setup. The new chip also comes with a slightly higher amount of cache at 72MB. Interestingly, the 3950X somehow has a lower base clock speed than 3900X at 3....
