Interestingly enough, Microsoft is releasing the Surface Pro 9 5G in Malaysia but there are some caveats though. For starters, the tablet is not available for general consumers as the company decided to make the device available only through the Surface For Business track. Instead, you have to reach out and sit down with a Surface For Business or Microsoft commercial resellers which is a different ballgame altogether as these outfits cater towards enterprise deployment rather than individual consumers....

But is it enough? Needless to say, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on workers, as significantly more is expected of them during this time. 58% of them said they feel overworked and exhausted. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there is a significant gulf between the bosses and their employees. 46% of business leaders said they are “thriving” right now – 16% higher than their employees. Relatedly, a whopping 69% of Gen Zers – those aged 18 to 25 – said they are just “surviving” or “flat-out struggling”....

The Verge reports that the app uses Miracast to create a connection between the PC and the Xbox One. Once connected, you can begin casting using the Windows + P button combinations. You can use this to stream videos from PC to Xbox One, for example, but not content from Netflix or other protected content. Oddly enough, while streaming your PC to your Xbox One, the only form of control you have is via the Xbox One controller....

Initially, the government had originally purchased a total of 12.8 million vaccine doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in November and would later add another 12.2 million in January – bringing the total number of dosages to 25 million, allowing for the vaccination of 39% of the Malaysian population. According to Bernama, MOH minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba says the additional amount would cover 50% of the Malaysian population, should the new deal pull through....

One thing to keep in mind is that the booking period will only be open for a limited time until 30 November 2022. As previously teased, the new airline will be offering trips to Langkawi, Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu directly from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2), with the maiden flight scheduled to take off on 1 December this year. MYAirline’s video also confirmed that fares for all-in, one-way flights to Langkawi will cost RM 48, while flights to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu are priced at RM 68 and RM 88 respectively....

The minister said that Malaysia has one of the lowest donation rates in the world and wants to make registering easier. Coincidentally, the Ministry of Health (MoH) already promoted organ donation signups through MySejahtera’s homepage last month by providing a link, but Khairy mentioned that the upcoming feature will be an “in-app” registration, similar to the recent self-test report update. With Malaysia’s opt-in system, there are currently almost 500,000 individuals who have pledged to become organ donors after their demise, a little over 1....

The first one being the MySejahtera app which was the first COVID-19 app to be released by the government. Surprisingly, PM Muhyiddin has also mentioned the MyTrace app instead of the Gerak Malaysia app which has made into the headlines recently in relation to interstate travel. As it turns out, the app has been made available for download since few days ago. According to the description provided by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), MyTrace is a Bluetooth-based app that is designed to help authorities detect those that might have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients....

Anyway, after years of living in uncertainty and doubt, it looks like the mystery is finally solved. As it turns out, my tree probably didn’t bear much fruit because it was planted in my backyard which is millions of miles away from its natural habitat. You see, rambutan is an alien fruit. In an episode of Netflix’s Another Life — a series where astronauts embark on a high-risk mission to explore alien artefacts — two characters are seen staring at an alien fruit like a gym junkie would a chocolate sundae....

The subtle hint at the supposed released date can be seen in the illustrated image asset below. One of the apps at the top (second from left) clearly shows the alleged date of 10 September which is a Tuesday. While this date might seem like a shot in the dark, there are reasons to suggest its legitimacy. Firstly, the image asset was reportedly labelled as “HoldForRelease”, a label that Apple usually reserves for unreleased products....

It is said that Apple’s upcoming portable desktop computer will come with more ports than the current model. This is likely to emphasise more towards power users who rely on the machine for server operations, software development or multimedia editing. However, Gurman did not specifically mention what type of ports that are added on the next-gen model nor detailed its supposed redesign. On that note, YouTuber Jon Prosser says that the upcoming Mac Mini will feature a new external chassis with a “plexiglass-like” reflective surface and a magnetic power port, while also retaining the familiar aluminium enclosure....

Japanese site Android Next posted a screenshot of Geekbench running on a device known as K8220. While there’s no mention of Sony or Xperia, the model number is in line with the company’s naming of its phones. For instance, the Sony Xperia 1 had four model numbers: J8110, J8170, J9110, and J9150, while the Xperia 5 used the model numbers J8210, J8270 and J9210. The letter in front is believed to be the year the phones were announced....

The brand said the NFTs offered by StockX infringes its trademarks, which may cause confusion to customers. Furthermore, the platform also markets the collectibles to be tradeable for the actual physical versions of the shoes, only if the customers do not plan to resell them on its online marketplace. Based on listings on the website, the NFTs range from over US$500 (~RM) to up to a whopping US$10,000 in value....

As it turns out though, the deal didn’t go through though. While Logitech has confirmed through a brief press release on Sunday that the company has indeed embarked in discussions with Plantronics, the talks have already been terminated. Even though the acquisition will no longer take place, it was still a rather interesting move by Logitech who already acquired so many audio companies prior to its attempt on Plantronics. Among such brands that are now part of the Swiss company includes Ultimate Ears, Blue Microphones, ASTRO Gaming, and Jaybird....

But as previously clarified by Nothing CEO Carl Pei, the new buds are not an update to the company’s inaugural audio device, and is actually a completely different product altogether. That being said, it does come with features and hardware that are unique to it. So, the question remains: Is the new Nothing Ear (Stick) a better option over its sibling? Let’s find out. What Is It? Coming in at RM 130 less, the newer buds are marketed as an entry-level option that lacks certain features offered on the higher-end Nothing Ear (1)....

Like the ear (1) earbuds, Nothing’s retains its design language that focuses on using transparent elements for its first smartphone product. Featured behind the device’s glass back is a very intricate-looking panel that gives off an industrial yet stylish vibe – a design approach that is rarely seen on recent phones, and is usually reserved for limited edition variations or niche releases such as those oriented for gaming. And as I’ve pointed out before in an opinion piece that I published a while back, smartphone aesthetics such as these are something I’ve been looking forward to....

Company founder Carl Pei also decided to unveil the device ahead of its launch as an anti-leak measure. Finally, the phone has now been officially launched. With the official announcement, we also got some items from the spec sheet of the Nothing phone (1). Starting with the screen, the device comes with an AMOLED display with support for HDR10+, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a sampling rate of 240Hz....

Word regarding the alleged development of the device was tipped by leakster Mukul Sharma (via 91mobiles), although nothing else about the product was mentioned. Interestingly, this rumour surfaced not long after Nothing’s announcement of a new partnership with Qualcomm earlier this week. The new deal, as per the company’s news update via its official website, will see the chipmaker providing its Snapdragon chips to power Nothing’s “future tech products.” While never officially mentioned, it has been hinted that Carl Pei’s startup company will eventually produce its first ever handset....

Along with the new GeForce Super GPUs, consumers can also expect the new gaming notebooks to come along with other augmented features provided by NVIDIA brand partners. One such feature is the inclusion of laptop display panels with 300Hz refresh rate with a response rate as low as 3ms, as well as minimal ghosting. Unsurprisingly, there are also Max-Q variants of the new GeForce Super mobile GPUs, but it should be noted that these GPUs have been updated with a new energy-saving feature to better suit the new GPUs....

Both headphones are very similar to one another in terms of specifications, with the closed-back headphone being slightly more sensitive by 2dB and heavier by 0.3g. In detail, both headphones are fitted with a 40mm hi-res audio driver and a frequency response ranging between 20Hz and 50KHz. As said, both are a lightweight headphone that weighs about 271g. However, NZXT says the closed-back headphone is meant for stronger bass, while the open-back design aims for environmental awareness while still retaining decent midrange pitches and natural sounds....

In a media alert sent by Mi Han Sdn Bhd which is the sole distributor of OnePlus for our market, the company has confirmed that OnePlus 6T will be released in Malaysia. In fact, the phone will be available for pre-order from 30 October onwards. Customers who are interested to get their hands on OnePlus 6T are able to pre-order the device through OnePlus Official Store on Lazada Malaysia. According to Mi Han, the pre-order program will take place until 7 November....
