The logo also came with a description that reads “A new benefit available for a limited time on PlayStation Plus”. Initial plans for it may involve a year-long trial from 22 April for subscribers in Poland. This may be related to the video service that Sony Interactive Entertainment will be ending support come August this year.
While there’s not much to work with, one could make a few assumptions as to what this PS Plus Video Pass is all about. One would be its own subscription service tied to the existing subscription service. After all, Sony as a whole has produced many films, including Venom, featured in a now-removed banner. Then there’s the company’s acquisition of anime streaming services like Funimation and Crunchyroll. It’s also worth noting that the two aforementioned services are not available officially here. With this PS Plus Video Pass, there is hope for the possibility that they become available in Malaysia.
