Specifically, the Snapdragon 8150’s performance was initially leaked in the form of an AnTuTu benchmark via the China-based website, Weibo. The source goes one to state that the SoC’s core processors will run in a unusual 1+3+4 configuration. Overall, the SoC scored 3622292 points on the benchmark, which is approximately 24% better than the Kirin 980’s AnTuTu performance of 273913. But only slightly better than Apple’s own A12 Bionic SoC, which has an average AnTuTu score of 353210. The minor difference between the Snapdragon 8150 and A12 Bionic can more or less be contributed to the fact that both SoCs are built on a 7nm die lithography. One statistic that should be noted is the SoC’s GPU performance of 156328. That’s about a 20% improvement over the current Snapdragon 845 SoC and its Adreno 630 GPU. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 is already in production, with other sources saying that the SoC is already being sampled and tested by a select few smartphone makers.
