To be precise, Ice Universe’s tweet specifically states that both phones will be launching on 18 February 2020. While Samsung has yet to officially confirm the date, it should be noted that the date sounds rather legitimate on the grounds that, on 21 February this year, Samsung held the inaugural launch of the Galaxy S10 and the first-generation Galaxy Fold. Above the line, Samsung still has not officially divulged any information about the Galaxy S11’s hardware, let alone the Galaxy Fold 2. On that note, rumours and speculations suggest that the Galaxy S11 will be sporting Samsung’s Exynos 990 SoC or Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC (for the US market), as well as the parent company’s super high-resolution 108MP camera sensor in either a triple or quad-camera module.

— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) December 11, 2019 On the subject of its chipset, recent rumours also seem to suggest that Samsung may only be launching Exynos 990 SoC variant of its Galaxy S11 within the European market this time around. While the rest of the world will reportedly receive the variant fitted with Qualcomm newly announced flagship SoC. Further rumours also suggest that the Galaxy S11+ variant will also be fitted with a large 5,000mAh battery and a 120Hz display. As per the status quo, Ice Universe’s tweet is merely a rumour and as such, we do advise you to take the news with a liberal sprinkling of salt until such a time that Samsung sees fit to divulge further information about the phones.
