According to the good people at XDA, the layout and UI of the redesigned version Snapchat looks identical and seems to remain unchanged. The biggest improvements, according to Snap Inc., lies beneath the hood of the app.
— Snapchat (@Snapchat) April 8, 2019 Chief among the improvements is the speeds and interaction time between the app and user. At a glance, Snapchat’s boot-up time is snappy, as is swiping about for filters and contacts on your phone. Each action takes less than a fraction of a second to perform, which again, is a stark difference from when the app was plagued with issues. While the new Snapchat update is being rolled out, Snap Inc. did not provide a specific timeline about it. So, much like an Android OTA update; if you have yet to receive your update, just be patient. (Source: XDA)
