Working together with a smart parking company from China called Jeishun, one of the Sunway Smart Parking’s main feature is its ability to support a wide variety of payment option including digital wallets as well as credit and debit cards. Here is the list of payment option that will be made available for users: Digital Wallet: AliPay, Boost, GrabPay, Maybank QRPay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, and WeChat Pay. Payment Cards/Platforms: American Express, JCB, Mastercard, MyDebit, Visa, and UnionPay. Through Sunway Smart Parking system, users don’t have to utilize the traditional physical paper ticket anymore. Instead, users can pay their ticket directly on Sunway’s app or participating digital wallets as the system will scan their vehicle’s plate number when they entered the parking area.

Of course, this is provided that they already registered the plate number with the Sunway Smart Parking system. Alternatively, they can also choose to pay their parking through the dedicated payment machine which will also support all the digital wallets and payment cards that we’ve mentioned earlier. During the media demo today, the system’s performance looked pretty impressive as the gantry gate opens pretty much instantly when a vehicle that already registered into the Sunway Smart Parking system approach the scanner. As for the dedicated payment machine, it is still being sealed at the moment though.

While the company will only be rolling out the Sunway Smart Parking system to the public in Q1 2020, it already looking into additional features to enhance the system’s experience in the near future including personalized rewards.
