If you can recall, households with income of RM 4000 and below will receive a one-time payment of RM 1,600 while RM 1,000 will be provided to households with income of between RM 4,001 to RM 8,000. On another hand, single individuals with income of under RM 2,000 are getting RM 800 and those with income that ranging between RM 2,001 to RM 4,000 will receive RM 500. Naturally, the biggest question that have been asked by many is how to apply for it. Well, the Ministry of Finance has since provided the answer and as it turns out, the BPN monetary aid will be delivered directly to members of the public in two different manners.

The main method of method of distribution would be directly to your bank account although this depends on whether Internal Revenue Board (LHDN) already have your account number in its system or otherwise. For your details to appear on LHDN’s records, you are either a registered taxpayer or a recipient of aids from the Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) scheme. The second method of distribution will be through cash withdrawals at Bank Simpanan Nasional but this is limited to BPN B40 recipients that don’t have bank accounts. While the first round of distribution for the BPN monetary aid will only take place at the end of April, members of the public will be able to check their eligibility on 1 April onwards through the official websites of LHDN, BSH, and MoF. If you are eligible but your name doesn’t appear in the database, you will be able to register for BPN online through the same websites starting on 1 April as well. However, you will only receive the monetary aid in May although it will arrive as a lump sum amount instead of being split into two payments.
