All that being said, the options that users have can be a little confusing. According to the announcement tweet, you can use your Google account on the app and on the web. This is then followed by the Apple ID option on iOS, with the option to do so on the web coming soon.

But on the flip side, people who are extremely privacy conscious would see an iPhone as providing an additional layer of that. Overall, this is an inconsequential addition to those who already have an account.
