The Your Phone app actually does more than just allowing you to make and take calls from your Android phone. With the app, you will also be able to check messages and view recent photos. It also supports iPhones, but ZDNet reports that Microsoft is focusing its efforts on Android devices. And it’s kind of understandable why the company wants to focus its efforts on Android. After all, it has its own Android device coming out at the end of next year, in the form of the Surface Duo. Now that the feature has been released, it means that the company has about a year to iron out any kinks that slip through the Insiders.

— Windows Insider (@windowsinsider) December 11, 2019 At any rate, this would be useful for those who see the value of making and taking calls on PCs. That said, chances are the other features of the Your Phone app will see more use than the call parts. In particular, the bit that allows you to check messages and view recent photos look like a lot more practical features than making or taking calls using a Windows 10 system. If you wish to give Your Phone a try, then you can get it for free from the Microsoft Store, linked below. (Source: Microsoft [1], [2] / Twitter via ZDNet)
